High School Internship Program
We are looking for high school students who have excelled both inside and outside of the classroom. Applicants must be High School Students currently enrolled as a sophmore or junior with a GPA of 3.0 or higher are invited to compete for placement in the Hillsborough County Local Government Managemnet Internship Progream. Successful canidates must have exceptional organizational, leadership, and critical thinking skills. Students must also be able to work indepedently and as part of a team.
Application Must Include:
What We Are Looking For...
- Completed Application Form
- Three letters of reccomendation
- A certified copy of your highschool transcript
- Your personal typed or hand-written essays
The Commitment:
During the summer, students will be required to committ at least 10-15 hours a week for six weeks to the intership. The goal of the intership is for each selected inter to develop a Capstone project centered around their interests and present their projects to the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners.
