High School Internship Program

In designing and developing her internship project, Aubrey was able to incorporate her strong suits in communication and networking. Since 2013 was the inagural year of the Hillsborough County Local Government Management High School Internship Program, Aubrey decided to brand and network the program for her internship project. She set up all of the social media accounts, took pictures throughout the program, and created brochures, information packets, and a website about the internship program. She hopes to create a strong backbone of information to promote and inform highschool students about the internship program.

Jessica Rosbach// Fundraising For The Care Coalition
After talking to Ervin for about ten minutes, you can easily figure out that he wants to be a public servant. He loves talking and helping others, which is why the project he developed for his internship was perfect for him. Ervin decided to coordinate a community outreach event in East Tampa to inform citizens on TRIM Notices and Homestead Exemptions. He worked hard to set up the location and get the word out and arranged for the Property Appraiser, Bob Henriquez to attend and speak. Apart from coordinating his community outreach event, Ervin has also was a huge help around the Property Appraiser's Office, always helping with any extra work.
Jessica was interested in working with charities and helping others. For her internship project, she set her mind to raising $1800 to send to the Care Coalition. The Care Coalition is an organization that helps wounded Special Operation Veterans get back on their feet. Jessica put up donation boxes and jars in local restaraunts throughout the Tampa Bay Area and organized a bake sale all to help raise money. After her internship ended, Jessica planned to continue raising money, so if you see a donation box, help out! :)

Akash's computer skills were definitely put to the test in the internship project that he chose. Akash helped update all of the public information brochures and videos in both English and Spanish for the Property Appraiser's Office. When in the office, he would always be found at a computer, researching information, formatting the new brochures, or writing the script for the TRIM Notice Information Video that he has been a huge part in helping to create.
